Superstorm Sandy Resources - List Updated

I’ve updated the list, adding more gas station info lists (more on that in a bit), pet rescue contact phone number, and utilities urls and phone number. One more tip - we’re finding that comparing the results/info from 2 or more of the gas tools is the best way to verify the info. When 2 or more agree, the odds that the info is current and correct increases. • Pet rescue hotline for Hurricane Sandy victims: 1-855-407-4787 To minimize the risk of residents trying to return to their homes in dangerous situations to retrieve their pets, the state of New Jersey has established a hotline for victims who left their pets behind when evacuating their homes in advance of the storm. Those who call the hotline will be asked for information to assist animal rescue teams in locating the animals and bringing them safely to a shelter. The hotline is available 24 hours a day.
